This resort is remote, down near Mexico border S. of Alpine.
Within range of the porous non existent Mexican border, and the criminals coming over every day.
One wonders what kind of security a Supreme Court justice has on a daily basis. Certainly as much as any candidate, or wife of former perv president, one would think.
Does any FReeper know the security? The man was 79, but this should require a post mortem.
Antonin Scalia was brilliant jurist and a great, great American. What a loss.
Minimal security. A driver, VIP flag for local police on the security system, regular reviews of any staff who works directly for him, otherwise not like you would imagine. SCOTUS justices are really low profile.

Your question about a protective detail however, was the first thing that entered my mind. I haven’t read all of the responses on this thread yet, but hopefully someone will know.
