I stand corrected. I just saw that he clerked for Renquist on Cruz’s wikipedia page. Both Scalia and Renquist were both great justices.
I would guess that Cruz still interacted with Scalia. I’ll bet Cruz has a few good Scalia stories he can use in the debate tonight.
I would imagine every candidate on that stage knows Scalia and most of the other justices, personally and/or professionally.
