Flippant remarks are taken for gospel by the gospel crowd. They miss nuance because of the blinders. At the same time they disregard intentions (like build the darn wall yesterday) as pie in the sky dreams. What begins the sapping of pragmatism? Is that a relic of a once free state wherein every individual was free to determine his or her own destiny? I can’t just be an observer of history when everthing around me screams ‘wake the eff up’.
