Could someone please post support for the prevalent theory that Trump convinced the town to file the eminent domain?

The statement supports a point of view but I see no justification for making it. I have looked into the agency involved and it oversaw development in multiple communities then and now. It has overseen many projects, a significant proportion of them involved eminent domain, and looking over the list Trump’s casino was only one such project, and a relatively small one at that.

Did all the developers involved strong arm the board or did it believe the developments were in the town’s interest?

CRDA v. Banin

Trump's name appears 61 times in the judge's decision. From paragraph 2:

These three cases involve a challenge to Casino Reinvestment Development Authority's (CRDA's) attempt to exercise its power of eminent domain. CRDA and Trump seek a judgment determining that CRDA is duly vested with the power of eminent domain and has appropriately exercised the power. . . .

Most of the property owners were paid well for their properties and left. Really, the 1 million she was offered in 1980 (fifty times what she paid for it) would have been a fair offer to most people.
