Why else? Because he becomes the most powerful leader in the world. That would feed his ego and allow him to make more money. But, sure, he is only doing it out of the goodness of his lil ol’ Conservative heart.
I don’t doubt that Trump wants America to be great. He wants to create HIS best version of America. I don’t believe his best version is really a conservative America even if it’s a strong America. I don’t want to gain power and riches if we lose the soul that America is based on.
Smaller government, pure capitalism. Can anyone tell me if DT is given one of the most powerful positions on earth that he will NOT want to control more? Everything he does manipulates the media, manipulates politicians, manipulates the public. Anyone who rejects him (or who he thinks is distasteful) is rebuked and disdained. Submission is everything.

We have no firm answer, is the bothersome factor here. Courts are currently the only recognized entities that can pass ultimate judgment on such questions. The meta-court embodied by a supermajority of both houses of Congress has been suggested for something otherwise known as a Bork Amendment. That this would have the right to overturn any court. But still, some tribunal of men would have to sit on it.

True, if that keeps up, Trump would have trouble. However these opponents are still for Trump to peel away if he can. He has announced an upcoming switch to positive ads. He’s seeing the handwriting on the wall about where he has been. He also sometimes tends to get mad over things that really did not deserve the ire, diluting the usefulness of his anger. I am hoping Donald learns before it is too late, and he seems to be making motions in that direction now.

Since I predicted he would win the nomination when he was at 5% and every pundit was calling him a clown, I will tell you what all that means.
That poll is useless this far out and is likely skewed by the media. He will win the Presidency in a large margin. Hang onto that talking point though, it is a good one.
Just sayin’ though, sometimes we can’t see the forest for the trees.
Trump is learning that he needs to control his impetuousness.

zzzzzzzz. Your going to lose and the reason is that nobody buys what you are selling. You hitched your wagon on a very weak individual who has no integrity. no leadership within his campaign.....they run around doing things that supposedly cruz has no idea.........due to that alone should scare the heck out of you....is his staff in the whit house going to be doing things without cruz’s knowledge? Will cruz blame his staff when things go wrong like he does now?

I think the answer of those who knew Trump privately as a boss, would be yes.
The “You’re Fired” schtick was one that was ginned up for TV. Not that Trump would never do it in real life, but when asked to ham up the role of irascible boss in an implausible situation, he agreed.
I wouldn’t mind too terribly much if he said that to Barack Obama some day early next year, though :-)

Just a simple question to find out the real man inside. That’s what I want to know. I have that right to ask questions. Will he shrink government? Has he ever motivated anyone to become greater than himself [because THAT is what will make America Great Again-AMERICANS, NOT TRUMP. Ever watch someone receive the Medal of Honor?]... If you don’t know the answer why not just say I’m stupid, fat, and ugly.

Well, I think by presenting the right kind of open doors, Trump could empower just such a move by We The People.
He does need to learn to shoot less at his friends than at his enemies, though. Sometimes he has acted like he hates everybody equally.
