Secure the border.
Bomb the shit out of Isis.
Get our manufacturing base back.
Get rid of Obamacare
Clean house at the VA.

There are lots more, but that seems at least marginally conservative, and definitely pro-American.

That is what he said he will do. Has he demonstrated conservatism at all other than promising change?

Been reading a lot of old Trump interviews and the parts of his books where he discusses politics.

It seems his main concern is that the far right and the far left have controlled the two parties to the detriment of the people in the middle.

Not that this is a shock, but he isn’t going to be a bastion of right wing conservative values.

He does seem to be a man driven to succeed and now he feels the need to help America succeed.

So far his definition of success is securing our border, getting rid of Obamacare, supporting our Vets, making America secure, and bringing jobs back to America.

His methods for doing those things will likely not fall neatly into either right wing or left wing ideology.

Just as Obama’s promise to fundamentally change America didn’t mean what many had hoped, I don’t think the methods Trump will use to achieve his goals are what many are envisioning.

One thing for sure - it will be a very interesting 4 (or 8) years if he gets elected.
