It definitely seemed when he got on the marriage trains, he got soft.

I miss the early years where he wasn’t constantly promoting his books, lifelock, and whatever else. Every now and then I catch some of the week in review but that’s about it for him.

What percentage of manufacturing inn the USA is done by unionized workers? Why didn’t Carrier move to Alabama instead of Mexico? Was there anyone paid off. What was K St’s involvement?

That has shown to be a bad idea in the long run.

Percentage doesn't matter if you are one of the ones being hurt. Moving to Alabama doesn't escape a tyrannical government. Like so many others you show outrage when it is someone else's money. I'm guessing that your AC unit is not a Carrier just as mine is not....I could not afford to give 30% more for an American made system!!! I'm also guessing you would not want your 401K to be investing in Carrier when they are not profitable. When these union workers were voting on their last contract I wonder if they were warned about Carrier losing market share. What will we look like if the dems ever get the $15.00 dollar minimum wage.

You take information from where ever you can get it.

This pretty much sums it up. Is your AC unit a Carrier??I'm guessing not. Not many people will pony up to 30% more so they can brag about buying American.Carrier is doing what it takes to compete and the workers are finding out what losing market share does to a company. Your anger should be towards the unions, government over taxation and regulations.

As I posted, the “likes” of Obama. Liberal policy has done more to move manufacturing overseas than anything. This includes an overly litigious environment, too much regulation, EPA overreaches, etc. Obama didn’t save them. He’s the one in office now.

I also believe Trump is the one that would do the most to reverse the trend. I have been on the fence as to who I am going to support but you’ve now got me thinking more in the direction of Trump. We need radical change from business as usual.

"Perot nailed it. The Establishment media was successful back then in smearing Perot."

And we got sold a bill of goods by Limbaugh, Newt and the Boys, Al Gore and Clinton etc that NAFTA would be good for us...

Moving manufacturing overseas began long before Obama came into office and will continue regardless of who is elected in November. Obama didn't make a difference; he didn't encourage it and he didn't discourage it. There was nothing he could have done to slow it since it's a dollar and cents issue. Workers cost less overseas than they do here.

You are acting like the fringe 1 percenter GOPe “Conservative”. You are missing the boat. It is OK to be pro America and a Nationalist again. You don’t need Rush’s permission either to be patriotic.

With a BUILT IN 30% profit potential how long do you think it will take to repatriate all of the manufacturers? Not long. Domestic competition will bring prices down. You may no believe that but then again you may not believe in supply and demand or America for that matter. Go Trump, go! I've had it whit the thug Free Traitors™.

(1) As I said both times, the “likes” of Obama.

(2) There is a lot he could have done.

What a stupid statement...you think the government should mandate what we pay and this is what you think constitutes supply and demand. You are a typical Trumper. Is there or isn't there a Carrier AC sitting in your home....do you drive a Japanese car, do you shop at Wal-Mart. I believe in America...I do not believe in unions democrats and politicians who conveniently get religion during an Apocalypse!!!

In a just world, the corporation could cut costs and adjust prices to meet the competition. But government tax policies, regulations, and union contracts make that impossible.

If you people want to be mad at someone, there are the culprits.

UTC, the parent company of Carrier, last year paid 12% taxes on 17 Billion in net revenue. When asked which regulations were causing them to move offshore the CEO had no answer.
