Music bump.
I agree...it stinks, but it is what it is. I’m bringing everything home except the bare essentials. Then I will take back what I think I need. They already told us no heaters. I will probably take a blanket for over my knees, and I’m not above taking slippers, too. Every one of us has a personal heater now. The ONLY thing I like is that if I forget my lunch, or want dinner on late nights, the Food Court has a Round Table Pizza. d:o)
The lowest level is the Food Court and the skating rink. Floors 1-6 are around the rink. We have all the offices on the 4th floor. They can’t really tell us what our space will be like, but it looks like a sardine can size space for 4 people. And we can’t go see it as they are still “building the cubicles”. And we can’t go in the weekend of the move to find our stuff and get a little set up for Monday.
You can’t have heaters?? That’s cruel. Sheesh, I have a little one I put by my feet when it gets real cold here and y’all normally get a lot colder than we do. (just not this winter. lol) I hope they keep the place warm enough y’all aren’t miserable.
Don’t know if even pizza can make up for all the garbage you’ll be dealing with but, mmmm, mmmm, mmmm, it sure comes close!
Any explanations as to why they’re making the move so difficult for y’all? Can’t go in to set up so you’ll be ready to roll on that Monday? This whole thing sounds insane. Y’all will be pulling your hair out til you’re bald.
But...never fear they said, payroll will have their computers and equipment set up first!
It’s a money thing. I’m sure they got a “good deal” from the mall folks. And we are taking the whole floor.
And the lights are only on from 7a to 7p. At 6:45p the lights will blink, then go off at 7p. You have to call someone if you need light after that...for me, every Tuesday night. But I have a solution...I have an inflatable solar lantern. 6-12 hours of light from a full charge. Then I just need to find some sun to recharge it.
I just had a thought...I could take an oil lamp to work. LOL! That would go over well. This might be a good chance to check out my emergency stuff for light.
Good morning, Liberty...thanks for the tunes for the troops. ((HUGS))
George Strait...always a good song.
Well, they have their priorities straight. LOL! Gotta have that payroll up and running if nothing else.
Surely there’ll be a socket you can plug a desk lamp into. You have a job that HAS to be done and they’re going to have to get that through their heads.
But I’d be tempted to take an oil lamp in just to get their reaction. heh!
LOL! We will see what happens.
I wish you lots of luck with this move. Not an ideal situation, that’s for sure. But what can ya do? Your boss has already made it clear you aren’t allowed to retire. :-)
That she did...LOL!!
Hey, there’s your leverage! You get your little heater and a desk lamp - - electric or oil - - or you’re outta there!
And we both know the answer to that one....bye!
LOL! You’re probably right. Job security only goes so far.
I just realized what time it is and YIKES! The sun will be coming up soon. Time for this lil vampire to get the kittie stuff done and head for the bat cave.
Happy dreams when you reach dreamland.
“Iâm sorry!
I wasnât trying for it, honest!”
;-)
I was simply joking. ;-) I was sleepy.
“Dang! You had to mention a Frosty and Wendyâs is closed.”
Awwwwww! I feel so sorry for you.....no, really! ;-)
The frosty from Wendy’s was delicious! So COLD and so CHOCOLATY!!!!!!!
Eat your heart out! LOL
I stopped by Wendy’s and got a chok-lit frosty this afternoon on the way to visit Hubby’s aunt at the nursing home. A craving sets in, it won’t let go until it’s satisfied. LOL
No more eating my heart out now. :-)
LOL
Yes, when some food group or dessert gets into my head.....I just gotta have it.....NOW! ;-)
