No, you need to listen more carefully. Conservatives complain when RINOs like McConnell and Boehner and Geroge W. Bush don't fight back by taking liberals to court.
In contrast, Trump threatens (only threatens, never actually does it) to take the most conservative presidential candidate to court. So in this respect he is acting just the way a Democrat would act.
BTW, you ought to check out Cruz's resume. Before becoming senator, he made a career of taking liberals to court - and winning!
