The fact is, it does look like Cruz needs to get this issue settled - most likely in court. I mean if he was the GOP nominee for President and the Court ruled he wasn’t a natural born citizen, the election could be screwed.
Trump has standing because Cruz can damage his chances to get the nomination or any other candidate being damaged. Being damaged by Ted Cruz meets the court Standing Doctrine.

And, if he really believes Cruz is ineligible, why does he keep flirting like he might name him VP? You can’t be VP if you aren’t eligible, so Trump is either a liar or a hypocrite (or both) on this issue.

The fact of the matter is, we’ve never had a President that wasn’t born IN AMERICA. Even the founders you rattled off born before the union was formed were all born in the commonwealths (mostly VA and MA).
McCain was born in the Canal Zone, on an American Air Base.
Unless someone can prove otherwise, Obama was born in Hawaii.
Ted Cruz was born to one American parent in Canada, has a Canadian birth certificate, lived there for years, and was a dual citizen until two years ago. Never in the history of this country has someone in this situation become President.
This issue should go to court and be settled.
I just watched Donald Trump, The Movie. He’d sue anything that moved just because the threat of a lawsuit would be damning to his opponent. He’s an asshat. I hate him.
