Let me know when you’re ready for a list of new sign ups who are spending all day bashing Trump. The list grows longer every week.

Unbundle the panties, then ask yourself -- does the freeper whom you were addressing owe you something?

"new sign ups"?

Ok, you're on. I call. Down and dirty, babe, lay them cards right out on the table, face up. Let's see what you got.

Send it.

I'm willing to examine it.

Then in return you may owe it to yourself to look into the posting histories of a couple of dozen freepnames to see if they've been doing much of anything but posting one "bashing" comment after another, in tarring and slandering Senator Cruz any 'ol which-a-way.

Don't get me wrong. It is not that Cruz is beyond criticism. He isn't. No one is.

But there are a few people around here (and I'm not talking about those who are supporting Trump for whichever reasons, and doing so, honestly) that I suspect are DU'ers and DNC operatives, one of those being a "sleeper" troll type having a sign-up date from many years ago, but until a couple of months ago had not posted comment since 2008 or so...and is among a few who have as name here a two-digit number followed by 3 initials. I don't recall which relatively old-timer freeper fairly recently expressed the view that according to their own memory, in past election cycle years FR had a lot of then new sign-ups who had names of that format, and appeared to that freeper like they were social media political operatives. Not all freepers who's names here fit the format are not for real, but some may be. But those were not exactly the people I was mentioning in comment #34, for that was including people who are presently allowing their inner demon-bag to come out and play, play, play...

The one person I'm thinking of with the double-digit plus 3 letter name may be honestly enthused over the Donald, yet what comes out of that one is non-stop wall-to-wall unmitigated hatred of Cruz -- which candidate had long been a favorite on this forum, long before Trump entered the race, apparently adopting many of our own political stances.

As for Trump having apparently, figuratively speaking 'gotten religion' in politically conservative sense --- If it looks too good to be true -- then how's the rest of that saying go?

As it turns out, the fact that Trump is becoming more openly confessing to being a Populist candidate tells us that he really isn't a 'conservative', lending credence to the view that he's been hijacking and harvesting/feeding off of what could be termed conservative's angst.

My own concern here (possibly concern troll alert? but I'm for real, regardless) is that despite his relatively strong polling numbers and support, the way he's gone about "responding" to issues and questions appears to me (frequently, but not always) as something of a cartoonish caricature of conservative's otherwise well-founded, well thought out principles which if presented coming out of Trump-mouth while facing the Hildabeast in the general election, with support of the chattering typewriter class (the LameStream Media) could make the Beast appear to be an acceptable, "reasonable" choice in comparison to The Donald.

A question in my own mind -- did Trump enter the contest in part, to do that very thing? To make it that the Beast, despite her high negatives, could squeak past a Republican candidate, regardless?

Trump himself could have been manipulated into that, even becoming convinced in his own mind that he could pull it off and actually win (instead of being a person the Hildabeast and Co., media-majority controlling DNC sycophants could quite easily mock and ridicule, doing so even in politically effective understatement -- pointing at Trump while saying, "see? the Democrat Party has always been the Party of reasonableness, and those Republicans -- just look at them!" "They are all extremists and stupidgreedyselfishXenophobic haters of all that is true good&pure American Way they makeWaronWomen (won't let us have abortions on demand anymore) blah, blah, blah...", and the Hildabeast with her smug "I know what's best for you" smirk wins office after a hard fight, which "hard fight" and how dirty & wrong Rethuglicans are in their inner-most being ---will be the meme de la' Next Decade.

If it went the other way, and the guy was able to pull off the palace coup and get himself into office, then as Jimmy Carter noted, unlike Cruz who would stick to and fight for his own [bedrock] principles, Trump would be malleable.

When Trump says he would get the best experts (thus the best advisers, when that kind of talk is understood for what it is) then the question there is -- who would be those advisers?

Couple that with Trump's personality being sort-of mercurial (although not failing to keep his eye on his own personal gain money ball) and it would be a crap-shoot of yuuge proportion to elect that guy, if the thought there would be that he would adhere to conservative principles, while not at some juncture getting this nation in a heap a' extra trouble shooting his mouth off needlessly insulting world leadership the world over.

But send the list, deary. I'm calling that cheap bluff.
