I did not deny Hiz and Iran are fighting on behalf of Assad. This article is about Aleppo being cut off from the north cutting off Turkey. That is being done by the Kurds working with the Russians.

Beirut (AFP) - Kurdish and Arab forces backed by Russian air strikes captured a strategic air base and the adjacent town in northern Syria from rival anti-government factions, a monitoring group said Thursday.
