Clinton signed NAFTA into law after he fought hard to get it. It was passed in the House which was controlled by democrats. It was passed in the Senate which was controlled by democrats. Maybe it’s w’s fault.
Nope. Reagan’s Fault(tm). We could blame him for the formation of the WTO much the same way, but it’s obvious why protectionists do not.

Ironically if George H.W. Bush had been re-elected in ‘92 NAFTA would have been a dead-letter. The Democrats would have voted against it, just out of spite.
