Hillary Clinton’s week just went from bad to worse
Washington Post ^ | February 11, 2016 | Chris Cillizza

Posted on 02/11/2016 12:27:22 PM PST by McGruff

Losing New Hampshire by 22 points to an avowed socialist was bad enough for Hillary Clinton. But then came the news -- first reported by WaPo -- that the State Department had opened a inquiry regarding the activities of the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation during her time time as secretary of state. And bad went to way, way worse.

By my count, this latest State Department inquiry makes for three active investigations by the federal government that touch directly or indirectly on the 2016 Democratic presidential front-runner.

1. The newly revealed State inquiry into the Clinton Foundation and top Clinton aide Huma Abedin

2. The ongoing State inquiry into Clinton's private email server

3. The FBI investigation into Clinton's email server

And bad went to way, way worse.

In a sane world, yes, that would be the case.

Unfortunately that is not the type of world that we inhabit.

I doubt whether even a double dose of what this article is pointing out would be enough to knock her off of her broomstick...

That may be true and they may be trying to do that, but until the FBI makes a public announcement on their determination, and until the DOJ makes their announcement following that, and until the State Department Investigations are complete, these things can’t be put behind her. This is the classic definition of dying by a thousand cute. If a 74 year old socialist can beat you by 22 points in New Hampshire primary (where Hillary had actually won in a previous presidential primary) you know these things are having a tremendous impact on her candidacy.

Isn’t it much more fun and fulfilling to pick on Democrat candidates instead of attacking our own? I wish the Republican candidates would come to that conclusion. We need more of these Hillary threads.

I wonder if THIS is what they're talking about? Reported by that well-known conservative publication, the NY Times, no less.

The media is only doing this because they want a marxist named sanders instead of a crony capitalist named clinton.

She'll never be prosecuted. Obama won't allow it. He wants a Democrat President more than anyone on the planet. A Republican President, House, Senate and 3 Supreme Court Justices might mean the end to everything he has done.

And right now, the Democrats and Obama only have two eggs in the basket, and they're both bad eggs.

But I am sure that they're going to pull some sort of trick before the convention. That's why Obama doesn't seem to be panicking now. They have a plan, I'm sure of it. I really think a Biden/Warren ticket is what will come out of the convention. This Democratic primary is just a show to keep the sheep engaged.

Biden/Warren or similar would be a lot more formidable in November than Hillary or Burney.

The Dems just have to figure out how to install it (maybe they have already?)

Obama’s former press secretary Jay Carney was on live television yesterday explaining to viewers that all Washington Democrats know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Hillary is Obama’s preferred candidate, not Bernie. He simply can’t go on record having said so until the primary voters have had a chance to weight in. After hearing that, its safe to say Obama’s Attorney General also knows this beyond a shadow of a doubt.

If Comey, the FBI Director has any decency in him, he will demand an independent council be appointed to rule on a Hillary indictment, BEFORE he announces the FBI findings. He could very easily and lawfully do this, as well as say that a refusal to do so is potential grounds for the FBI investigation to extend into the Department of Justice for obstruction of Justice.

The administration cannot allow her to be prosecuted. There are now 30 other email accounts connected with her server.
That means 30 other people in the administration pinged her email probably from there own “off books” email accounts. If the armor cracks here a lot of cronies are going down. Hillary’s server is just the tip of the “shadow government” iceberg.

Maybe we will get more Hillary and Bernie threads too comment on soon. The Republican bashing threads are very sad.

As VP for 8 years, Biden doesn't need a primary process for vetting. It's a no-brainer. (No pun intended).

Getting Hillary out is a little trickier. They don't want to smear the party, so I think a health scare is Plan A. Plan B is an indictment, and of course, the DOJ probably already have all they need.

Sanders popularity could throw a monkey wrench into things, but the White House can be patient, and see what happens with the next round of primaries. The black vote will probably save Hillary from Bernie, but also ensure that she will be removed right around the 4th of July.

IF slow joe is the nominee, I’d paste campaign ads non-stop with his hands on 10 year old girl’s shoulders.

Biden has a lot of faults, and says some really stupid things. But in a shortened campaign, he could be tough. And if you notice, he's been just about invisible since the 2012 campaign. They've kept him out of the public eye for a reason. He only popped out when his son died, and that brought him massive public goodwill.

As I see it, that's the only way the Democrats could possibly win. Hillary beats nobody. And I don't know if he would be a sure thing, but he would be a tough candidate, and the GOP nominee ought to be ready for it.
