...

Saying that he does't trust businessman Donald Trump ideologically, Viguerie added: "Cruz is the best candidate I've seen since Ronald Reagan and in many ways he's more ideologically consistent than Reagan." His feeling is that with the establishment currently divided across several candidates, Cruz can to rally not just conservatives, but the entire GOP. Viguerie said the GOP hasn't been fully united since 1988 and "only Cruz has potential to unite the party." ...

If conservatives unite, we will lose the General Election.
What we need are conservatives and moderates, and left leaning moderates uniting to defeat the Globalists.
Cruz can not pull that hat trick off.
Trump not only can, but is actually doing it.

Yes Ted is building a wall. Between him, his supporters and other Republicans. Should work out well.

Another way to say that is, “TED is UNITED without U. N. I.

Trump won EVERY SINGLE DEMOGRAPHIC in NH... Every single one... and he’s going to do the same thing in SC.... Cruz can preach to the Chior, Trump is reaching the Congregation... That’s the thing that so many people have failed to realize about Trump... and it was obvious early on.

He’s reaching people all over the political map.. Cruz gets the faithful, that’s about it, and he doesn’t even get those completely.

Most of them have no clue who Cruz even is.

Maybe it's just a coincidence, but take a look at all the Republicans who have won the Presidency since WW II: from Ike to George W. Bush. They all have had one thing in common: strong name recognition.

That alone is obviously not enough (it Winny help Jeb), but I think it's a prerequisite, something needed to overcome the media bias.

The Republican Establishment has no desire whatsoever to be “reunited” with the conservatives that also hold Republican party membership cards. For any conservative like Ted Cruz to attempt to “reunite” the party as it is now constituted, it would be a Sisyphian labor.

The gods had condemned Sisyphus to ceaselessly rolling a rock to the top of a mountain, from where the stone would fall back of its own weight. They had thought with some reason that there is no more dreadful punishment than futile and hopeless labor.

The Donald, on the other hand, is not trying to unite the Republican Establishment with conservatives, he rode in to demolish everything. And at this, The Donald is doing a spectacular job.

You’ve got to be kidding...do you really know how bankruptcy really works in the type of businesses Trump is in? Do you care to know, or are you just slinging garbage? I tend to think it’s the latter.

“Trump won EVERY SINGLE DEMOGRAPHIC in NH”

And on a national level he still loses to Clinton by 4 points and Sanders by 8 points.

Ted Cruz says the data shows that the Reagan Coalition is still out there in sufficient numbers to win. If he can pull together the evangelical vote, the national security vote, the liberty vote, and Reagan democrats, Cruz says that he will not have to go after the same voters as the other candidates, nor will he have to move to the “mushy middle” in the general. This should be very exciting to conservatives who are sick and tired of always having to vote for an establishment lane candidate.

I will vote for Cruz if he becomes the Republican nominee. That being said I do not like the man. It is hard for me to say why. For me, it's the dealings that went on in Iowa against Dr. Ben Carson, that tells me to be leery of Cruz.

Trump unites conservatives, nationalists, right-wingers, those concerned about the economy, illegal immigration, hordes of refugees coming and Islamic terrorism, those concerned for the vets and rebuilding the military, Reagan voters and Reagan democrats, blue collar workers and capitalists both, and all those who want revenge against the Obamanists and the Republican establishment and Chamber of Amnest Commerce crowd, and those who support our police and hate the thugs killing them who are turned into civil rights leaders, he unites people who have had enough of crime and dangers to their family and homes, in fact he unites the coalition that is going to win the election and all conservatives no matter what religion.

He has already united the coalition that is going to win. Not that he might.
