The former is questionable when it comes to Ted Cruz. The latter is questionable as well since he voted AGAINST the TPA.

cruz not only voted for TPA in the only vote that mattered, it was his leadership that got it through congress in the first place. That is the only time that cruz demonstrated any successful leadership as a Congressman, well unless you call reading Dr. Suess on the senate floor leadership.

Convenient amnesia on your part. Cruz worked with Ryan, and against Sessions, to help roll out TPA. He then voted for TPA, and when his vote was not needed, his handlers gave him permission to vote against it the second time. Google it.

Cruz voted for cloture though, which was the tough vote before he voted against the actual bill. That is the sort of weasel approach I expected form Cornyn, not Cruz.
