Old niceties are becoming obsolete as politics becomes more raw, because the consequence of not having political power become greater.

I find it very positive. Why do you mention conservative? There is nothing Conservative about Trump. He has gone full Alinsky on the other GOP candidates and still fondly refers to Schumer and Pelosi as his good friends. Brags about the $100 million ballroom for the WH? That is conservative. We would not only get to pay for that but for all his buddies parties there.
Since his campaign started he has reneged on his promise to deport illegals, changed from “we have to take in Syrian refugees” to no Muslims, was very weak on support of Israel before he figured out he was not welcome to go for a free mug shot with Bibi, promoted government healthcare for all in NH. He could not even define conservatism in last debate. And on and on.
That's the best you will get with Paper Tiger Ted and his 3 year list of "conservative" (Corker, TPA, H1B, etc) accomplishments.
