The 16% business tax/”VAT” that people worry about is a consumption tax and it replaces so many other taxes.
No more tax preferences, no lobbying, massive incentives for saving and investment. This would be better than Reaganomics and would incite a tsunami of economic growth!”

So a 16% tax on payroll expenses eliminates the payroll tax? And a 16% tax on business income eliminates the corporate income tax? Wow! That was easy!
