And sure, you can tax Ford on it's off-shore production, but all that does is make them more un-competitive here and make Americans buy more foreign-made cars! If Ford thought it could successfully compete here in the US, do you really think they'd be moving to Mexico?

Answer Yes they would! Are you saying Ford is going to lower their price due to a lowered production cost? Ford is making profits now on each vehicle. The question is how much more they can make thru labor arbitrage over an international border to make ADDITIONAL profit. These are political as well as economic issues.

That’s the problem, their margins are not good. Ford got through w/o a bailout byt the skin of it’s teeth. They were not healtly either, but they had a better product line with the SHTF, and figured they could get through without selling their company’s soul to Obola like the other two. Ford is not swimmng in profits today.
