I've never in my life heard such unapologetic, full-throated socialism in American politics. Sanders is the real deal. He's so left-wing he practically makes Obama look like the chairman of the Republican National Committee. At least Obama felt compelled to lie about the true extent of his leftism. Sanders doesn't - and he isn't kidding around. This is damn near Clement Attlee and Fabian socialist-type stuff. True, he's not advocating nationalizing industries (yet), but he's cocksure that he can take as much of anyone else's money as he wants and spend it on just about anything. Free single-payer health care, free college, green energy, no more fossil fuels, $15 minimum wage, end "institutional racism" – Sanders sees no limits on what government can, should, and will do. And "Wall Street" will pay for it all.

Don’t worry, Bernie and his pals would like to make a new movie just for recalcitrants like us. Certainly lots of Millennials would love to report deviancy and disordered thinking, so there will be plenty of roles available. However, according the the Weather Underground in the 80s, some 25,000,000 will have very short walk-ons and then offs.

European-Socialist countries had lots of accumulated wealth to burn through before reality set in. Venezuela was only one step above a banana republic at the start so privation wasn’t that far away.

Back in 2007/08 the CPUSA did not run a candidate. With Hillary and Obama in the mix, the communists saw that their party’s views were being represented by the democrat party.
They saved their money and did not put a candidate on the ballot. Same for 2012.
The party that calls themselves democrat is now the CPUSA.

Hillary’s politics are essentially the same, plus she’s a liar and crook with more baggage than American Airlines. Although the fix is in for her now, I predict the D party bosses will ditch Hillary before the convention and nominate someone that’s a lot more electable. Might be another new face
Actually, Venezuela once had a thriving middle class and lots of oil wealth. It still has lots of oil, but of course the price is kinda low at the moment. They are in for on helluva hangover after they default on their loans.
What they offer sounds great. Free education, health care, equality in pay/jobs...you name it. It is very appealing.
What they don't tell their enthusiastic supporters....the system they trumpet will take over every aspect of their lives. The federal, state and local governments will become so powerful, so encompassing, so intrusive, citizens will have their every move, purchase, position scrutinized by an all powerful behemoth power structure.
A total and complete loss of liberty and freedom will ensue. The middle class Bernie touts as the beneficiary will too have their pay taxed heavily to grow this power structure.
Folks are clueless what this man is proposing. He speaks of all the upsides....never the reality of a government so powerful, it will dictate your every move.
This my FRiends is how Nazi Germany began. A wrecked economy, people struggling and out of work. Every day was a survival story. Then came a man with fiery rhetoric, grandiose promises. Germany instead received oppression, war, murder and the most evil leader the planet has ever known.
