I never said I supported it for Keystone. And I know that Cruz supports the Keystone pipeline, but I can’t find anywhere Cruz specifically endorsed or supported the use of eminent domain for this project. You can support the pipeline without necessarily approving of the use of eminent domain to build the project. So it is possible to be intellectually consistent on the issue.

Nonsense. Trumpeteers can jump up and down all night over the New Hampshire primary but once you move from a blue state to South Carolina, you’ll see an entirely different result.

By the way, I have consistently said that Trump would win NH (they like NE liberals), and that I thought Cruz would be 2nd or 3rd. So this hasn’t been a “rough night” - it turned out pretty much as expected.

“I don’t think ED is a huge election issue. ED is problematic at local and state levels. A president has ZERO impact on it”

I agree.

So what? This issue is a fool’s errand. Like opposing mandatory vaccinations. Great theory, but utterly pointless. Anyone who seriously opposes all eminent domain taking for quasi private use like hotels and casinos and pipelines would be better off wasting their time opposing the requirement for metal license plates on cars.

A president has ZERO impact on it.

Except for A) the bully pulpit, and B) the ability to appoint justices, SC and elsewhere, that take a more favorable view of an individuals' private property rights than the Kelo Court.

Peace,

Cruz's negatives may be lower according to polling data but so is his level of support according to polls I have seen.

The difference is that Trump has 100% name recognition. He has been in the public eye for 30 years. Everyone knows him, and 75% don't like him. He really has no room to build on his current level of support.

In Cruz's case, most people really don't know him yet. He only showed up as a national figure in the past couple of years. His support is lower now, but his room for growth is a lot higher than Trump's.

I signed a nice oil lease on a small plot. Deal was between them, and me and my lawyer. I got what I asked for.

That's the way it's done. If they make a well, you get royalties, if they don't drill or make a well, you get to lease it to the next guy, either way, you keep your land. You can even decide to not lease the mineral rights.

The "sticking points" in the deal I made were responsibility for cleanup and repair of any damage caused by working on or near the land. The royalties were fair right out of the box.

Scare quotes because all I did was counteroffer with an amended agreement, which was reasonable and taken without objection. The only difference between us was boilerplate language.

We don’t need to speculate, we know exactly how much the government was going to pay for that house, because they only got overruled on appeal, and it was below fair market value.

“So this idiot Trumpkin “sundance” thinks using eminent domain to build a border wall - the very definition of “public use” - is the same as Trump using eminent domain to build a garage for his limos?”

No he isn’t an idiot who thinks that, or he wouldn’t have butchered the video so desperately to try and HIDE the fact that Cruz was advocating for a public use. The fact that he attempted to HIDE that obvious fact shows that he knows the difference, and doesn’t want the viewers to know what Cruz was really talking about, because it wouldn’t serve sundance’s purpose to DECEIVE and MISLEAD people.

This isn’t the first time he’s posted confirmed lies about Cruz, but this one is so egregious, anyone that considers his website a legitimate source anymore is a moron in my book.

“I am astonished at the ignorance of the most common and constitutional laws these noobs exhibit.”

The noobs don’t bother me so much. I expect noobs to be rough around the edges, because a lot of us were when we started posting here.

What astounds me are the FReepers with decades of posting history who have suddenly decided to act exactly as ignorant as the noobs they are now running with. Were they replaced with pod people or something???

Negatives are far more important than current support.

A candidate that can’t break 50% can’t win, no matter how fanatical their support.

Stop eating your 'samples'. Stool samples, no doubt.

And really, for your own health, stop brushing your teeth with meth.
