He is not cursed. He is likable and if Romney had not had the backing of the GOP and stacked debate audiences, Newt would have likely been the nominee.
That is why Jeb felt so confident for so long even though he was failing. The GOPe thought they could get rid of Trump the same way they got rid to Newt. What they did not consider was how much Trump was willing to take any interview anytime and expose the lying liberal media on LIVE tv. It is a new day and the playbook they used to get Romney as the nominee does not work anymore. It was always a one and done playbook to begin with. Hopefully the Rinos do not get to pick the nominee like they did with Romney over Newt.
Agree, I also like Newt a lot. He’s as smart as Cruz is supposed to be, but he’s got a personality and sense of humor too. And he’s a guy who has a track record of getting things done, not just speech-making and Dr. Suess recitations.
