Newt started out as the outside guerrilla leader but when he made it to Speaker he was the inside establishment guy and has stayed that way. He is a personal disappointment, he become petty, terrible, and then he can’t be faithful to his wife. Power corrupted him completely.
Conservatism is dead and has been. There is no real ideology or philosophy to it other than saying no and being against. It offers nothing in return.

I believe you are looking at conservative on the defense instead of the offense.
What is conservatism? No one seems to know any more, and when people do know, they can’t agree on it.
We might need to give the word a generation’s rest and re-unite all of us under another banner that actually gives us something to bring us all together instead of the ‘We ARE struggling together!’ mentality that’s stinking up the joint.
