FULL TITLE: Kicked in the Bowls: Beyonce sparks race row after controversial Black Power Super Bowl half-time show

BEYONCE hijacked the Super Bowl — and strutted straight into a Black Power race row.

The pop star, 34, who had been accused of shunning her black heritage, stunned viewers by performing her new single Formation.

It includes attacks on police brutality and cops’ response to 2005’s Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.

Members of the National Sheriffs’ Association also turned their backs as they watched on Sunday at their Washington base. A cop’s wife posted: “Rise above and stay above the strife. For a girl who grew up in a privileged, wealthy family, she has no business pandering to those who didn’t.”

But DeRay Mckesson, leader of the Black Lives Matter movement, called its “shout-outs” to Michael Jackson and activist Malcolm X “excellent”.

Anybody remember Superbowl I?

I do, and can remember the empty stands. Most of my family, ( I was 8 at the time) all commented that this was probably a one time thing.

Yep, we were wrong.

Yeah. It is like talking about deflated footballs after a Super Bowl, and things like that.

Funny how inconsequential things like racist halftime shows and contrived controversies like deflated footballs dominate the discourse.

You would think they would let the teams that actually win the Super Bowl (and their fans) enjoy the afterglow.

Irritating, isn’t it?

I intended to watch part of the Puppy Bowl. I don’t know that I’ll ever watch the SuperBowl again while they keep throwing trash. Never really cared that much anyways.

That was a shocking demise. More than a few of us thought when she hooked up with Bobby Brown, it was colossally-stupid.

I think a lot of us have had enough. Enough is enough.

Everything has an agenda. Well, when you mix in “pop music” and “Hollywood” you know what results you’re gonna get.

About all I can watch that’s recent anymore is “Last Man Standing” and still, I never forget that it’s ABC. Usually, I can enjoy much of the show, though.

No joke, I think I’ve been near smaller telephone poles; i.e. less circumference.

Admittedly I don’t watch tv. My last television was a black and white.

However, I was traveling and the tv was showing a documentary about the first Super Bowl. It was one of the best things I have ever seen, ever, on television.

There was wonderful video from 45 years ago. I’m sure you all know the story but it was new to me. One of the players was out partying the night before thinking that he would never play. It turned out he was the one made the winning touchdown.

And, she was shuffling around like my grandma. Like she was wearing lead weights on her feet. I don’t see how she is famous. Now Lada Gaga, a whole different story. Big surprise. She can actually sing. Who knew.
