Agreed. VA health care is for those with major injuries in combat. It is not for Viet Nam vets like me. If Im crazy, I cant blame it on the Army.

In my opinion, the VA is not there for stupids who crash their car drunk either.

I never used VA for 35 yrs, always had employment health insurance. When a tumor grew around a 35yr old missed shell fragment in my leg I went to VA to get it removed and was put on a surgery waiting list for surgery 11 months later. Ended up getting it done on my dime at a regular hospital. I really felt it was the VAs job to help repair old combat damage missed by the Army field surgeons, but found that doesn’t matter to them. They state combat wounded vets get higher priority in the VA system, but they don’t. The lines just get longer
