LISTEN:
1968: Apollo 8: Christmas at the Moon
"Christmas Eve, 1968. As one of the most turbulent, tragic years in American history drew to a close, millions around the world were watching and listening as the Apollo 8 astronauts - Frank Borman, Jim Lovell and Bill Anders - became the first humans to orbit another world.
As their command module floated above the lunar surface, the astronauts beamed back images of the moon and Earth and took turns reading from the book of Genesis, closing with a wish for everyone "on the good Earth."
Is this part of the Muslim outreach that NASA is doing?
Let me guess: mentioning Mohammed is A-OK?
Of course, some people on this site use it as a swear word.
Ha!
I guess that cuts down the number of potential Latino astronauts!
What happened to free speech of a private organization and the right to speak what ever you want generally. Does the News letter allow any speech? Seems like it would?
Hey-Seuss, what is wrong with you people?
NEED A SAINER AMERICA.I trust only two people to fix this shit and that is TRUMP and CRUZ.
Probably the Muslim brotherhood in DC that is currently running our country.
and to think, in 1969 Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin took communion while on the moon.
This will significantly impact the personnel on the landscaping crew.
Obama is just doing to NASA what he did to the military.
I believe that was Buzz Aldrin who took communion on the Moon.
The Apollo 8 reading from Genesis ended up with NASA being sued by athiests.
When Buzz Aldrin, a Deacon in his church, wanted to take Communion on the Moon, Deke Slayton ok’d it but told him to keep quiet about it. There’s been some question even about whether Armstrong knew Buzz was going to do that until after they landed.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration. (T)NASA is an anagram, at this point.
ANd when Onambla exits the White Hut, we will ban the utterance of his name too.
When they removed God from schools it hasn’t worked too well with shootings and almost none existent standards. I don’t think it will fare well for NASA to ban Jesus now. Sad people want to call on his name in crisis only.
Yes.
It’s freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.
