Must be vets are so rich they don’t need the csah.
It is stupidity. Horrible, sick of it. He’s a greedy, selfish, SOB. But the rest of the politicians are much more so. And he’s at least honest when he says he’s giving money to vets and not taking from others.
Since you asked, it appears the “Vets Charity” is probably a 501c(3) - most are. If that’s correct, they cannot accept an award at a campaign event. It’s too political and hazards their not for profit status.
So they were correct to decline the offer at the venue. It isn’t about pride or “dirty” Trump money. It’s about the law and taxes.
Bingo.
I know humility is seen as foolish these days, but I admire it greatly. I don’t expect to see much of it amongst presidential candidates, but this would have been a perfect occasion for Trump to exhibit some.
Cruz supporters are proving to be as slimy as they come.
Team Ted lied - “principled”died.
Of course, I know I can donate. But for those small donations to be a bond that is shared in support of Vets, it’s much more powerful.
Bravo, Sir!
The concern over taxable status, because it was from a campaign and not a foundation, seems odd. I can make a donation and it’s not a tax concern. Even Trump can make a donation and it’s not a tax concern. But if a ‘campaign’ makes a donation, then it is a concern.
But we can check a tax form box for the federal government to give money to a campaign and then it isn’t a tax concern.
Sheesh.
If Trump launders the money through his OWN foundation, then it isn’t a tax concern.
Heaven help us.
There was NO time to set up a new organization, and get all the various necessary legal documents approved by the IRS, to run the Vets event through a new organization so they ran it though the existing Trump Foundation.
How about you stop with your habitual lying and reckless attempts at smears CW and try making a case FOR your candidate for once?
It this sort of infantile behavior by you that makes your posts a joke to thinking people around here

I would think indifferent, as long as the funds are made available through some charity.
Hard to avoid the reality that everything Trump does, is done with this in mind:
What's in it for me?
It’s interesting that some people get irate about the charity of others.
Anybody who gives hundreds of thousands of dollars has the right to dictate the amount and any conditions that are attached to the donation.
People standing on the sidelines, giving nothing, get irate over somebody else’s donation. Pretty funny.
What he does do is to hand them the microphone and ask them to say a few words about their charities and what they do for veterans.
Both of the ones I've seen were for therapeutic dogs. The charity people brought some dogs to the event and spoke about how they helped veterans with physical injuries and with PTSD.
It was very interesting, and a side of veteran's care that I wasn't familiar with.
In addition to a sizable donation, the groups got national recognition for what seems to be a very worthy cause, as well as a chance to educate the public.
60 posts and the Cult ignores the confirmed statement that the charity could lose nonprofit status by accepting it at a political rally.
Then they are Dem tools and I have no use for them. If vets need the money, they need the money. So I guess they don’t need the money, do they?
Good, let it go to organizations that care more about the vets.
From reading the comments it would seem that for some people everything is for sale.
Seriously, now old are you?
Do you know many people who give LARGE checks who don’t have photographers handy when they deliver it? Wow. You continue to amaze with you TDS and Cruz shilling.
