So Carson could continue with the oh, poor me bit and Strump would faux lovingly come out and pretend concern, as well as grandstanding to be the last one in the room. Sort of like a Prima donna who wants to come in last, all eyes on her.

I think if either one of them wanted additional attention, they would have thought of something more complimentary out on the stage. How silly to see a “staging” backstage. A lot of people don’t see the incident as a good thing for either of them, that it made them look “dumb”. Why would they stage that? It is obvious the incident was spotaneous.
