Oh SNL last night had a wonderful time punching Carson. Disgraceful.

Marchers in UK fighting islamization support Trump's stance on a moratorium.

what I noticed was it was names called by Martha that had trouble hearing ( I suppose) her tone over the applause.

Just as with during debate applause and it overriding what candidates are saying, I think debates and such events should hold all applause until all folks are introduced and then hold all applause until the end.

Any time I watch these sorts of events the applause is annoying, and or the discussion of why so and so got more applause then this other one. It’s most times staged and such so it’s truly of no real value in these settings.

It also showed the poor handling of the ABC people:
It seemed like they deliberately kept Carson out
of the discussion by not asking him many questions!

Trump stood there because he wanted to be the last, and get the most applause, not realizing, of course, Kasich had been forgotten.

Though I will not vote for Trump for anything, I agree with this article.

I’m not sure if Trump missed his first cue or not, but either way he was classy in his dealings with Carson — first with the comforting touch, then by refusing to exit when Carson finally did.

ABC handled this very poorly — someone should have been in charge of sending the candidates onstage, and the people calling out the names shouldn’t have kept going like that, much less try to pile Trump on top of Carson at the end and deny Carson entrance applause because of their screw up. I’ve worked backstage with amateur productions that did a better job.

I suspect ABC would have done better by the candidates had the candidates been Democrats. Certainly if it were the Democratic debate, the newspapers would recognize the screw up was that of the guys running the thing and not blame the candidates.

Good friend?

Trump took a baseball bat to Carson before defending him

Trump has the ability to be in the moment. And contrary to the media narrative he is a true gentleman. These attributes are basic to negotiations of every possible stripe. Trump won the debate, BEFORE THE DEBATE EVEN STARTED.

This wasn’t a calculated decision. Trump did it instinctively. It struck him at the moment as the right thing to do.

Trump is sometimes rough around the edges. He’s also human and at times a very common normal guy.

It’s not nearly as all about him as some folks would like to believe.

Martha dissed Carson. She exhibited media establishment privilege. Some misunderstand it and call it white privilege. Carson is invisible and unimportant to her.

The bottom line- Trump lives in the moment, and has the instinct to act with class. As the others walked by I’m sure that he mused about their need for acceptance and praise. He chose the path few take, he stood with a colleague left hanging in the wind.

I had the same reaction. Trump’s a strong, decent, and kind man who can think on his feet. Jeb and Cruz in particular looked like asshats.

Im a bit surprised even though I shouldn’t be at some of the comments here. Not taking a count it looks like most viewers saw Trump in a good light during the awkward moment. Haters are going to hate no matter what. If anyone looked like a complete douche it had to be Jeb. I can honestly say he is the only one I would stay home on election day if he was nominated.
