He is a good man, but beating this non-story to death does nobody an favors. BEN is the one who chose the worst moment to give a very vague announcement, that he is skipping events in SC and NH to go home “for clothes”, at the outset of the first voting in a very long campaign, when he is not topping 9 pct n any of the opening states. It as not unreasonable for anyone hearing that announcement, at that time, to assume that it meant the end for the Good Doctor’s campaign. He isn’t a politician, he apparently can’t hack the heavy schedule, he isn’t polling well, “for clothes” is a ridiculous and vapid excuse, and telling it to CNN during, not after the voting, shows incredibly poor managerial skills at the very least. Blaming the subsequent loss on those who shared hat you just said is even worse.
