No damage done. It’s too bad this happened, but the blame goes to the Carson team. They’re the ones who gave the story to CNN in the first place. Carson is looking more and more like a jerk over this. You have to see the smirking press conference reply where he refuses to take responsibility for his staff’s actions.

Has Dr. Carson ever explained why his on the scene campaign team did not correct the information themselves. He said that his wife did this where she was located, but obviously no one else made any effort. Does he expect the other candidates to look out for his interest. Does his supporters take the word of an opponent and immediately jump ship or do they act reasonably and call the campaign for clarification. The more he pushes this issue, the more disorganized his campaign appears. If he gets the nomination, I sure hope he doesn't go into the general election with this naive approach.
