Sen. Ted Cruz won the New Hampshire GOP debate. Cruz managed to stay above the hand to hand combat between the desperate governors and Sen Marco Rubio and Donald Trump. He gave great answers to the ABC News moderators, some of whom spent the night fishing for sound bites that could be used to help the Democrats' eventual nominee.
Gov. Chris Christie went after Sen. Marco Rubio early and seemed to rattle him. Unfortunately Christie came across as...

You daydream too much. Trump should have shushed Bush. This Bush guy, is that the same guy who made the incredible 10th Amendment gesture to allow the States to build their own roads? How about the Feds getting the hell out of the States altogether! If Bush wins I’m third party, SO SHUSH THAT SOB BACK TO HIS MOMMA.
Ok
Those who think this affected the outcome are welcome to find ‘Iowa’ under the ‘Account’ and the ‘My Locale’ links and see what some Iowa FReepers report about their caucus.
Amen!
Ted State is the Onion of the right.
Yeah.....I know about Red State
I just thought it was a cool answer : )
“I think most Americans want a president who will use waterboarding and other enhanced interrogation techniques sparingly and with caution”
I don’t know, but I hope that’s not true.
“Friends of ours Cruz supporters thought the same and were despairing about it.”
The man is weak, and he is not trustworthy.
For many Trump supporters anybody who dares disagree with them is dishonest. I see it in post after post here.
They say that you lie, you're being disingenuous, you're being dishonest, it goes on and on.
It reminds me of those who cry racism at the drop of a hat.
LOL. How old are you?
I think he would win the election when he did that. You even said yourself you would enjoy it. Even lots of Dems would love watching the evil blotch get put down that way.
Unfortunately I don't think she'll be the Dem nominee.
That would depend if people were looking for a combative stage or an issues discussion stage for these candidates...... If issues Cruz clearly won for obviously staying above the fray and answering clearly and precisely where he stands on the issues....and this without the drama.
Further NH is where Cristi, Rubio and others had focused a good amount of times and revenue so it’s no surprise to anyone where the drama would ensue if it were to do so.
As for Jeb and Trump tit-for tat and well known rivalry, Purposely or not Jeb certainly exposed Trumps narcissistic behavior in his response to Jeb, and further Trump carried that over lashing out at the audiance. Trump once again diverted to outlandish behavior rather than clearly and calmly defend his position...
So of course Cruz came out on top....but Trump and the media ares so programmed to say Trump’s in the lead, regardless of reality, that the truth always gets lost in the media hype Trump likes to create to retain his “image” before a captivated audience looking for a buzz, and as much the media’s need for hot stories they can run with to frame their own narrative of events to retain their viewer audience.
Only Bush, Rubio and Spankie were asked about women in combat. All gave the democrat talking points on why women should die alongside men. Total PC nonsense.
Red State for Cruz butt boys are at it again.
Wrong. Cruz outpolls Trump up against Hillary in all the polls. Trump does poorly and usually loses to Hillary while Cruz usually wins.
“Ending political correctness” is another projected Trump fantasy. He hasn’t said he wants to end it. And a president can’t mind control the entire population. Nor will he issue an executive order banning schools from receiving state funds if they teach “political correctness.” Just a Trump fanboy fantasy.
Indeed Cruz did......but as I see it the public is being and now programmed to expect “thrills” and “excitement” at these debates, often anticipating which of the candidates is going to create the moment of drama for their excitement and entertainment..... thus determining who won not on substance of the issues but on which candidates thrill them most at the moment.
Unfortunately this is where society is now.....fast thrills and satisfying their need for thuggery that Trump has unleashed across the nation.
Gosh. Cruz is plan nasty. Sorry, but even his daughter can’t stand him. He tried to force a hug and she told him to stuff it. He probably is a pretty horrible father. Remember the video where he was afraid even to say he loves him Mom and he sat on the kids beds looking really weird....very scary scenario. If fell sorry for his kids and his wife is depressed because of dealing with him. Scary man that I hope never see the oval office or even loses his seat in 2018 not that it would matter since he doesn’t get anything done except whine and read storybooks.
They always are to those who are listening for substance of the issues this nation “needs” to address , and solutions to these......and as this moves further along those who are serious about their vote are going to demand so. We see this happening already as voters are indeed moving to other candidates more suited to the issues they want addressed.
Final NH GOP Debate talk time: Rubio: 18:14
Cruz: 17:34
Trump: 15:32
Christie: 12:53
Bush: 12:30
Kasich: 10:33
Carson: 8:46
If anyone can turn the undecided into anyone but Trump voters, it is you.
I agree with the following fully......
“Carson had just as much access to the story reported by CNN as any other candidate... and had ‘the opportunity to call CNN on it’ to clarify what his actions portended and to notify his precinct workers of the actual facts of his intentions and he did exactly NOTHING.... ...Furthermore, there’s Zero evidence whatsoever to support his and Trump’s claim that Cruz’s ‘dirty trick’ harmed either of them to the benefit of Cruz...None.
The Cruz team and the Rubio team did what teams in Caucuses always do: ...Inform their precinct captains of the facts as they are known AND Urge caucus-goers to caucus with them.
The only controversy here is how long is Carson going to continue with his wounded child whining act over this non-event.”
