Ted Cruz once again proves himself presidential
American Thinker ^ | February 7, 2016 | Lloyd Marcus

As the New Hampshire primary fast approaches, I wish to remind voters that our next commander-in-chief must be of the highest character, cut from the rare cloth of our founders.

Sometimes God gives us great gifts in ugly packages. Recent attacks on Ted Cruz from both the Trump and Dr. Carson campaigns gifted Cruz an opportunity to show his character and presidential instincts.

Suspicious of Cruz? Really? Take this advice from a Texan
who has watched Cruz for twenty years or more. He is the only candidate that lives the truth. There is not a dishonest bone in his body. He lives the constitution and his love for America. He is trustworthy.

None are more disappointed than I, to find him out to be just another lawyer politician... I notice he did not use his trademark, following the original intent of the Constitution. If he did I missed it.

I’m sure it will be another one of those Cruz article spammers.

Cruz is genuine about his faith, as was the founding fathers from where he gets his cues. Ever person running gets there values from somewhere. A president’s values are important, think of the Clintons, Bushes, Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi.

We need someone whose values reflect Jesus command to “feed my sheep.”

Interesting bit of history, US revolution in 1776 was founded on principles and values taken from the bible. Just a few years later came the French Revolution, based on the humanitarian notions of liberty of men, not much mention of God or Jesus. They both produced different results. Same goes for how Mexico, Central and S.American was conquered by the Spanish, look how that has turned out.

Where leaders get their values from does matter. So if our values now reflected the founding fathers, we would be in much better shape. The Bible is more than heaven and hell, it has values that teach how people should relate to and treat each other.

Remember the Golden rule, and “love they neighbor as thyself.”

- It was more to prevent a true foreigner from seizing power. --

It also prevents a foreign nation from seizing our president as a citizen of their country.

He was flustered more than a few times last night. Iowa has him on his heels. Trump was able to turn that into a liability for him.

Trump owned that stage. The NK answer really caught my attention. The others blather on about this and that. Trump says, China will do it. Brilliant.

What exactly is Cruz feeding? I cannot get past him as being just another lawyer politician. His faith is his business, and I do not see the evangelical Iowa Cruz showed up in NH. Nobody can con God, but some can con many people, claiming they come in the name of God.

The founders said to hold the office of president one must be natural born. Only two citizen parents giving birth to their child on US soil is natural born. So just how close to the founders does Cruz really track?

The cop out that Cruz had to miss his Senate job so he could be at the debate turned me off.

That was cute. Reminded me of the skits Milton Beryle use to do. I like Rudy. Thought he did a great job on 9/11.

[Jesus is not a political prop for anyone.]

Read some of the FOUNDING FATHER quotes on William Federer’s
American Minute. http://americanminute.com/

Scripture was a major part of their vocabulary. When people read the Bible on a regular basis, Scripture flows from them.

CRUZ is expressing his deeply held beliefs. It seems foreign to some people, but not to those who do the same thing.

[but there’s something that makes me very suspicious of him]

Base your opinions on facts, not on feelings.

CRUZ is more than qualified to be POTUS.

I’ve said for a week that a 3rd place finish by Cruz in RINO-CENTRIC New Hampshire will be a victory for him.

I agree with you on this one. Trump can win this with his New Yawk Big Mouth ramblings and lack of morals

Then Christi should pull second. I read the transcript of the debate and NH probably ate up his back and forth with Rubio.

[I have to shield my face from his brightness.]

I take it you are referring to the story of Moses after he descended from Mt. Saini? If so, let’s leave the HOLY SPIRIT out of this conversation.

Cruz did great tonight

I did not watch the debate (cannot stomach Trump and Christi) but read the transcript.

Agreed with all of Senator Cruz's answers and how he presented them. He did not get dragged off into the mud when it started and stayed focused and Presidential.

Trump just was, well The New Yawk Big Mouth.....promise the world and deliver the hole, minus the dirt. That rant of his against the audience shows his true insides. Narcissist man child.

And Bush, my gosh....."He mentioned my name".....several times just so he could chime in. It had to get comical and shows what a mama's boy he is. CRUZIN' WITH CRUZ to the White House

[but if you apologize everything is forgiven]

CRUZ did his part. He sincerely apologized for something his staff did which he was unaware. That’s all he can do.

It’s up to others to hold a grudge or accept the apology. It’s up to them. Not accepting an apology is a serious thing.

I really liked Cruz at the beginning, but
he voted to allow the vote on ObamaTRADE,
which he should NOT have done after pushing Roberts
who made ObamaCARE a tax and showed Roberts cannot even
read.

Cruz’s dirty tricks, Goldman Sachs links,
are consistent with the above.

A few things Canadian Ted Cruz would like American voters to forget:

His father fought along side Castro

He is in favor of cutting Senior’s Social Security

The Bible is not foreign to me. And I am aware the founding fathers wrote the Constitution to establish a Christian nation. Do you think a president is entitled to pick and choose what pieces and parts of the Constitution he or she will adhere to? Well I do not. I think an oath ought to be kept and Jesus does not hand out passes just because one make a big deal about their faith. I do not like being deceived in Jesus name.
