Ted Cruz once again proves himself presidential
American Thinker ^ | February 7, 2016 | Lloyd Marcus

As the New Hampshire primary fast approaches, I wish to remind voters that our next commander-in-chief must be of the highest character, cut from the rare cloth of our founders.

Sometimes God gives us great gifts in ugly packages. Recent attacks on Ted Cruz from both the Trump and Dr. Carson campaigns gifted Cruz an opportunity to show his character and presidential instincts.

Iowa went for Obama, in spite of the evangelicals.

No my education was/is correct. Congress nor a court can make anyone a natural born citizen. Congress still accepts the court decision of Roe v Wade.. And there is nothing Constitutional about that... And the whole ploy has been to make the original intent null and void. We got Obama because the political powers that be do not care about original intent. Cruz made a name for himself claiming he follows the original intent of the Constitution... Apparently he lied!

I think you are confusing Cruz supporters with Trumpeteers.

Trump showed he was a class act before the debate started, when he stood with Carson offstage while the other candidates passed them by.

Is this a typo? Someone has to decide. The Constitution doesn't define the term "Natural Born". Therefore, it is the responsibility of Congress to define the term in Law. I pointed you to the relevant law.

The Birthers would have you believe that there is some special third type of citizen, distinct from the two identified in the Constitution, but that's just wishful thinking.

You are correct the evangelicals sat on their hands for Mitt Romney. Currently the only candidate losing to Clinton and Sanders on the pub side are Trump and Bush.

Iowa does not have more Evangelicals than the national average but does have a higher percent of mainstream denomination Christians. Evangelicals simply turn out more than other Christians in the GOP caucuses.

I have followed Ted Cruz since his Senate run. I have never seen anything out of him but courage and a willingness to stand on principle even if he had to stand alone. I was so thrilled when he entered the Presidential race. I pray we don’t squander the opportunity to have the type of Conservative leadership we have not had since Reagan.

Stop it already. That gets you absolutely nothing.

In our society anyone that claims to sincerely believe in the Bible, really believes Jesus exists and the God of the Bible is real is never wholeheartedly excepted, except by others who see it the same way.

At the same time we have millions of heroes and those looked as the cool people whose values are so far from anything to do with God. Case in point Hillary and Bill Clinton.

I know from experience.

I repeat my question. Who do you trust most to appoint real Borkian conservative judges to the Supreme Court? This is the supreme issue of this or any election.

And I will say one more thing. I am a naturalized citizen, and I and most naturalized citizens have a greater appreciation for the freedoms of America than any democrat - which means more than half of the people of this country.

Too many people, born here naturally, just have no idea what a gift they were born with. Cruz is the tallest tree in the forest that you refuse to see.

It is settled. Only those that seek to subvert the Constitution will claim otherwise. Can Congress or a court make anyone a ‘firstborn’? No. Only parents bring forth a firstborn.
Cruz was born in Canada, he is a natural born Canadian... A naturalized US citizen!!!

If he will two time the Constitution what evidence is there he will not two time US? He is putting himself first now, in the name of Jesus. What is there to trust? I see a bramble tree!

Guess you’re going to keep dodging the question.

Cruz has fought for this country in the Supreme Court.
He even beat the International Court of Justice in an amazing case in which George Bush was going to send back to Mexico a rapist and murderer.

I guess you’re implying that naturalized citizens like me two-timed the Constitution.

What is the big deal about the Supreme Court. That is the bunch that decided killing the unborn is in the Constitution...gave Us KennedyCare and proclaimed the mentally disturbed are entitled to get married. I am not particularly impressed by them.

Beck is a fruitcake.

Citation?

The Constitution, the original Immigration Law (1790), and the Immigration Law in effect when Cruz was born (which I cited above), all say that Ted Cruz is a Natural Born Citizen.

It's just you loony Birthers who are subverting the Constitution. You're personal opinions have zero relevance to the actual law.

I thought Cruz was OK last night but the only thing people will remember is that Rubio looked foolish and Christie looked presidential.

Do you hold any criticism for poser candidates trying to sucker Christians into believing they are also people of faith?

You know, like the guy who talked about Two Corinthians? Boasting about non-existent religious credentials is so much more acceptable than actually having them. Hypocrite much?
