During Saturday nightâs ABC News debate, Donald Trump and former-Governor Jeb Bush got into a feisty exchange on the issue of eminent domain. Bush hit Trump for his use (or attempted use) of eminent domain to enrich his casino business in Nevada. Trump responded by saying, âJeb wants to be a tough guy tonight. I didnât take the property.â Boos then rained down on The Donald, who was ready. Pointing at the audience, Trump chargedâ¦
Thatâs all of his donors and special interests out there. So, thatâs what it is. And by the way, let me just tell you, we needed tickets. You canât get them. You know who has the tickets to the television audience? Donors, special interests, the people that are putting up the money. Thatâs who.

My 2 cents: the Republicans sense that this *is* the election. The candidates are taking care what promises they make because they know we’re taking notes.
Whoever emerges from Thunderdome is going to spank anyone the Democrats push onto the stage.
And that’s also a reason things are so tense here at times. The convention should be a three ring circus.
I was also impressed with his China/NK answer. He came out with that like he was the only one who actually understood the relationship there.
Christie did a good job. I think his ratings might have gone up. He was sharp, he was on top of it.
Rubio was a disappointment. He's so used to the campaign trail he forgot his purpose as did Trump a time or two. I thought he'd do better than he did, and was anxious to hear what he had to say. Now, I'm not at all impressed.
Cruz,...the establishment's candidate..the guy who talks a good talk but gets nothing done. I know way too many people just like him. He started out strong, but fizzled.
Kashich..boring!
Carson, a very nice man but he's not a president. I really liked what he said about doing right, but heâs too easy to blind side as a result of his own honesty. He is able to address issues, but Iâm afraid he really needs to sharpen up on being aware of his surroundings and the snakes heâd be having to deal with. He has to be able to see them coming, and that's just not going to happen with him.
As it sits with me, Trump is shrewd, Christy is shrewd, both are probably good chess players. Rubio needs to mature a few years and I'm not talking chronological age. Kashich doesn't have the mental energy, bush is just...pathetic...Carson is too nice and Cruz is a snake. I'm sure he's good for something, but its not as senator, nor president.
What struck me tonight was Trump's total lack of political calculation - which I admit gets him into trouble sometimes. He just took off after the audience and never once backed off an inch. I don't know of another candidate who would do that. They are too used to trying anything to get the audience of potential voters on their side.
I also think Carson was totally ignored, maybe that was retribution for calling out CNN. I don't know.
I can't see anything to like or trust in Cruz, I am thinking maybe Christie will bypass Cruz but I have no idea the specifics of that or if it's even possible..
I thought it was a good debate and moderators were not as smarmy as most.
Cokie said Trump will win by double digits.
That bothered me too.
He qualified it by saying "if they're smart," which wasn't very comforting to picture ordinary citizens getting ripped off and saying it's their fault for not being smart.
I've seen some proposals to improve the process by legislating that people get paid double the fair value.
Wow! Because Steve Roberts was very negative about Trump’s performance.
“The crowd booed when Rubio said Obamaâs actions as pres were âon purposeâ and not incompetence.”
Actually, in truth, Obola is both “on purpose” and “incompetent.” He does stuff “on pupose” but he screws it up almost all the time, so he’s incompetent.” Count your blessings, if he’d have been smart, we would be in a whole lot worse shape right now than we are.
Disney ABC Tiki Room.
Maybe he is after a spot in the administration of Trump or Cruz.

Excellent analysis! I’ll add that Boosh is like a slinky, he’s not much good for anything, but it’s fun to push him down the stairs.
You’re too kind, but thank you. ;>)
Only evil, stupid people oppose Trump. When he changes his mind 180 degrees, he’s still right. The leader is always right. The leader is never wrong.
Special interests and citizens at large should have the right to financially support any candidate or office holder whose policies they feel will benefit them; that’s FREEDOM. But being able to affect policies by giving or withholding funds (pay to play) is BRIBERY. The cure is to make all political donations ANONYMOUS. You can’t sell influence if you don’t know who is buying.
An additional benefit is that candidates will have to make known their positions on a wide range of topics to encourage donations from particular groups, or special interests. So the pro-policy voters and the opposition will each know where they stand and can vote accordingly.
Where am I going wrong?
So he went from catcher to backstop.
Just kidding!
Kris Krispycreme is a bean pole compared to me.
True. He’s a fighter, and he’s right on enough of the issues that, if he took out Rubio last night, I could vote for him without feeling overwhelming nausea.
