Wharton gives the BBA to undergrads; Trump’s name is listed on an honor roll on their site of outstanding graduates. So you are correct; he took what he learned there and made the most of it. Certainly growing up in the business couldn’t have hurt him, either. All any degree can do is prepare you for the starting stages. You have to bring a lot to the process yourself. But for people on this site (not you) to dismiss his intelligence or say he is “just a reality tv star” is ludicrous.
Such position (well deserved) honors achievements after graduation, not academic excellence while there. There is a tendency for things to blown out of proportion about Trump, both good and bad. And, when reality asserts itself for the differences between hype and reality to hit hard. Trump had a good education at a good school and deserves credit to match, but he doesn't deserve credit for what he didn't do there. He took that education, some seed money from his father and his family connections and built a lot on it. Just how much has been disputed for 30+ years and will likely continue to be disputed the rest of his career. But no one denies it's 'a lot.'
