Ah, the state fight vs fed fight. Feds can burn the opium fields, grow corn for ethanol instead? FBI still has to handle cross state borders, but states really should fight it on their level. The drug war is the longest war in history. Why hasn’t it been won?

Because the states treat it like a crime. It is a clear and very present danger to our country. Much more so than ISIS or the Zika virus.

Our country is losing billions of dollars to this. And it’s hitting in my town and your town.

Because the U.S. has not committed itself to winning - by bombing both Mexico and Columbia back into the stone age. To win, you don’t waste time with trying to intercept the mules - you take the fight right to those who are pushing this stuff into our country - The Mexican and Columbia GOVERNMENTS - both of which are OWNED by the drug cartels. perhaps a few tactical nukes dropped on the kingpin’s compounds - while their entire family is present - would set the right “tone”

Hundreds of miles of unguarded southern border certainly makes it easier for the drug smugglers to get their illegal products into the US.
