Govt can’t “take it”...they buy it , usually at much more than market prices.
And the good of the community often requires eminent domain. Private property rights are protected, unlike other totalitarian countries where no one has “private properties”..its ALL govt.
But, if i own a plot a land that i don’t want to sell, atvany price, the government should not force me for a limo parking lot.
