Apropos of nothing, I was in southwestern, NH this afternoon. I saw one *Carson* sign perched in a snowbank; that was the *only* political sign, I saw; the area I was in, is on the complete opposite side of NH from where all the candidates seem to be concentrated .... remember Hookset, Manchester, NH areas are infested with stray Boston suburbanites ...in essence, it is a suburb of Boston.

I asked a shopkeeper in the village I was in, if any of the candidates had visited town yet, ...and he said *No* ...and we don’t really want any of them, either.* Heh.

That’s my unofficial, unscientific, useless observation of politics in NH.

Maple sap is running very early this year. Siphon lines are out. Fact.

This kind of stuff is interesting.

What does the sap running early signify? Colder than normal or warmer than normal?
