I think a much greater case can be made that energy and commerce are a public use vs. a casino parking lot for limousines. Nonetheless, for the sake of argument, let’s say you and Trump are correct that those things are entirely for private use, that doesn’t excuse Trump’s actions and support of public domain abuse and his support of Kelo v. New London Connecticut in particular. Everyone on this form was outraged - rightfully so - when that ruling came down. Now a considerable number don’t think it matters or have indeed reversed themselves an ridicule people who still have the audacity to think private property rights are fundamental to our liberty.;
I am amused by Trump claiming to be a conservative now when during this very campaign he attacked conservatives and what we stand for, and referred to us as “you conservatives” - blasted us claiming it was government’s job “take care of everyone” and that we would just have to “get used to it!” indicating he was separating himself from being a conservative and despising what conservatives believe.
