"It's really about asking them whether they're going to get out and vote on Tuesday and whether they support Mr. Trump," McGough said. He said he had made 1,150 calls for Trump on Wednesday alone.
Kevin Bray, 51, another volunteer, said he had driven more than 20 hours in the rain from Nixa, Missouri, after seeing the results in Iowa.
"Iowa happened and I woke up really irritated," he said. "I said, you know, I want to make a difference." He said he arrived on Wednesday morning and told Trump's team to put him to work.
In a back room of the office, a white board displays ambitious goals for each day.
On Thursday, the team aimed to make 30,000 calls and knock on 2,500 doors. By early afternoon, campaign officials said they were partway to their goals. Their seven teams of volunteers sent to neighborhoods across the state had reported knocking on 823 doors so far.
On Friday, campaign staff hoped to boost the number to 5,000, as more than 100 new volunteers arrived from states such as New York and Pennsylvania to help. The team has run out of the 20,000 cards it printed to hand out during visits and was printing 25,000 more.
"I think look, we'll take nothing for granted," said Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, a New Hampshire resident overseeing the effort.

Trump FEELS everything Trump related and Trump tweets everything.
I agree with your comments about Trump. He can be the smartest, most convincing person in the room, when he isn’t stooping to NY style bare-knuckled streetfighting.
I hope to see him continue to refine and evolve his campaign style. That includes combining the big events and big tech, with the traditional street-by-street nitty gritty ground game.
Well, he had to go home to NYC for a tie.
Trump goes home.
Carson goes home for clothes.
Is this a sartorial contest?
Of that much we can be sure!
It’s interesting that Jeb’s 90 year old mother is apparently tougher than Trump.
Just saying. I like that old girl.
Here’s a nice Trump small event;
Donald Trump Anderson Cooper FULL Interview CNN Q&A - 2/4/16
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmJFVkf1T6w
It’s in a restaurant with a small group of people.
Colbert??? LOL...
Just wait til the Dims get a hold of CRuz’s NBC issues. It won’t be pretty.
Speaking of points....what about that point I made, in my last post to you, about what a busy, anti-Trump posting machine you are?
If you’re truly for CRuz - which I don’t doubt for 1 second you are - why not focus on posting CRuz’s positives, rather than the non-stop Trump smears/attacks? Just curious.
Btw....ALL....the FReepathon is STILL going on...if you haven’t made your donation this month/year/decade, here is the link....

;-))
It’s just a fun thing to focus on.
Would you drag your 90 year old mother out in the snow to fight your fights for you?
Oh please, every poll is showing that horse don’t race. Nice try.
LOL...poor Barb!! She and CRuz’s dad are their sons campaign pepper uppers :)
Trump overlooked one approach to winning and that is mailing flyers and TV ads. People in Iowa were inundated with Rubio’s flyers, and at least some people found them most effective.
Hey, friend, you’re right. Trump needed changing but, hey, changing is easy for him. In fact, it’s what he does.
He changes yearly and he changes daily.
One day he’s suing Cruz, the next day he wants him for veep.
But do we want such a very, very changeable guy?
Or, as Jimmy Carter would say, malleable.
LOL...which poll?
The FReepathon poll?
The CRuzbot poll?
Your replies don’t make sense. Maybe automated? Not sure.
You are very welcome!
Well, we want a candidate who is truly conservative and truly dependable.
That’s why we’re pushing Cruz instead of Trump.
In fact, the fine print in Trumps illegal program... well maybe not so fine ... is that Trump is already planning ways to bring back all the illegals he kicked out.
He’s primed and ready. They just have to be ‘good’ illegals. It’s his own program.
That fabulous wall he’s promised will be a revolving door.
That’s why we care who the nominee is.
He was not my boss. I was a campaign volunteer. At the time, the objective was to beat Al Gore. I hope that meets with your approval.
You are so right.
I can just imagine the dossiers that the Dems have on Trump. It would make a movie ... maybe R-rated or even X-rated but what fun!
I don’t know about poor old Bernie but the Clinton’s are past masters at this kind of thing.
Trump is already the most despised candidate on our side .. wait until they unload on him.
I’d wager dreams got Rubio more votes than flyers.
Rubio’s support came from bankers & financial services execs, lawyers, and insurance execs. The Des Moines and Cedar Rapids metro areas abound with these types. They took their lead from the RNC, even ignoring establishment Governor Branstad’s pleas to support Christie.
