New York billionaire Donald Trump promises "forward motion" on so called gay rights if elected president.
While speaking with Bay Windows publisher Sue O'Connell Friday, Trump spoke about his wishes to unite the country on gay and lesbian issues.
According to a report by Bay Windows:
O'Connell, who is also Bay Windows' Publisher, identified herself as a lesbian in a question that noted the progress the LGBT community has made in the last two decades and asked Trump if voters can expect him to continue that momentum if elected
"When President Trump is in office can we look for more forward motion on equality for gays and lesbians?" O'Connell asked him.
"Well, you can," Trump answered. " And look, again, we're going to bring people together, and that's your thing and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we don't we're not going to have a country anymore."
Malleable? You have to stand for something in order to change. When you have a five second attention span you have a problem remembering what you said in the past and just spout off anything that sounds good at the moment.
Yes, after one day of tantrums, Trump has forgotten Iowa.
People should not be surprised that Trump wants to move forward on gay agenda.
He has loads of friends in the entertainment industry and will cater to them.
It’s who Trump is.
Does the fact that Cruz met with a gay donor make him less conservative? Or is this another double standard?
***** “And look, again, we’re going to bring people together, and that’s your thing and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we don’t we’re not going to have a country anymore.”. *****
I don’t see his pointing out some people have one opinion, and that others have a differing one, and if we are to have a country, there must be some middle ground as a bad thing.
I am not for gay marriage, but the Black Robed Lizard Overlords in DC are shoving lots of stuff I disagree with onto the peons. They have for decades.
I think Trump recognises this sad fact, and rather than promising to overturn some of these things,is suggesting
common ground for the immediate future...next four years..and to try to salvage the immediate problems..looming socialism, massive debt, tanking economy.
Like any good salesman, he plays to his audience. If he's speaking before a conservative audience, he'll say he wants to overturn same-sex marriage. If he's speaking to a lesbian, he'll say we need "forward progress" on gay rights. He'll say whatever he needs to say in order to close the sale.
Excellent post.
Fact filled and accurate.
I don’t think Ted Cruz hates anyone but he loves the constitution.
Stop giving them special legal accomodations and leave them to keep their “bedroom” behaviors where they belong.
Cruz met with a gay donor and (here's the important part) didn't compromise his position on marriage and other "gay rights" issues.
Meanwhile, Trump is asked a question by a lesbian, and he promises "forward motion."
Nice take and much better than most Trump posters.
However, it’s pretty obvious that Trump is not only open to gay rights but will push them.
Cruz does not change positions to get votes.
He proved that in Iowa. He refused to compromise on ethanol while Rubio and Trump both eagerly jumped on the ethanol bandwagon.
You forget something CR yeah you did. Twisting words and meanings and full of it.
Trump - “I’m not in favor of gay marriage. I don’t feel right about marriage equality.”
Well isn’t that just special.
There is no chance that I will ever vote for Trump.
I wish CR wouldn’t write garbage like this.
Trump’s remarks were pretty noncommittal.
It’s a fact that Trump isn’t very good on conservative social issues though.
This has already been posted and debated.
Again, CR/Cruz buttboy Levin twisting the words to weave a story of lies...

Cruz according to report was not to interested in gay marriage as he seems when speaking to voters. Which Cruz beliefs do we accept.
What is Senator Cruz position? Is he going to have all the Gays walk around with a pink triangle on their clothing? Is he going to round them up and send them to Re-orientation camps?
No, of course Cruz is not going to do any such thing. Cruz is going to say much the same thing Trump just said.
CR going into hysterics like this just undermines their credibility. Kind of hard to find any rational point to argue against here with Trump. We are all going to have to learn to co-exist.
"Well, you can," Trump answered. " And look, again, we're going to bring people together, and that's your thing and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we don't we're not going to have a country anymore."

Just wait til the general election, if he is the nominee.
You ain’t seen nothing yet.
Tea Party-backed Senate candidate Ted Cruz points with pride to the army of small conservative donors supporting him. But his largest longtime contributor is a gay billionaire who supports same-sex marriage and marijuana legalization, campaign finance filings show....
The TRUE dialog....
Questioner:
âIâm a lesbian, weâve had some great progress for the gay and lesbian community,â NECN reporter Sue OâConnell told Trump. When President Trump is in office, can we look for more forward motion on equality for gays and lesbians?â Here is Trumpâs response:
Trump:
âWell, you can. Weâre going to bring people together, and thatâs your thing, and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we donât weâre not going to have a country anymore.â
Again, more LIES and deception from the Cruz camp/surrogates
“...and that’s your thing and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we don’t we’re not going to have a country anymore.””
Okay, seriously, WTF...we have to bring all people together...So, we are not together if we don’t agree with buggery...I am the one who is wrong...FUDT, eat $hit!
