Trump Vows "Forward Motion" On Gay "Equality"
Conservative Review ^ | February 05, 2016 | CR Wire

Posted on 02/05/2016 11:29:29 AM PST by newgeezer

New York billionaire Donald Trump promises "forward motion" on so called gay rights if elected president.

While speaking with Bay Windows publisher Sue O'Connell Friday, Trump spoke about his wishes to unite the country on gay and lesbian issues.

According to a report by Bay Windows:

Trump, in the recent past has supported liberal positions, and though often criticizing and singling out specific groups he has not attacked the gay community. Now he shows his true leftist view points in an interview just days before the New Hampshire primary where he leads in the polls.

As soon as I saw this posted, here were my thoughts.

1: Cruzies and resident agitators will throw a shitfit.
2: Couple Trump supporters or at least people who actually read the article will note that the headline does not reflect what Trump actually said or even the article at large, just like it ALWAYS does in the media.
3: Cruzies continue to throw a shitfit, along with personal insults.
4: I go and get a bottle of STRONG brandy to make it through the thread.

I guess I’m psychic because I was 100% right.

>>He believes that being LGBT is a personal choice.<<

I guess he has never known any gay people who fought against it for years.

Medicine has known for over 100 years that there are at least two major categories: Those who appear to be genetically determined from birth, and those that are “environmentally” determined, like those who go homosexual in prison.

I’m not trying to tell anyone what to think; but if Cruz thinks it is a “personal choice” for all gays, he is simply mistaken. Ought to get out a little, maybe meet some of the actual people whom you seek to legislate for.

While I’m not glad to hear this, you have to realize that when a candidate is put on the spot, especially by an open homosexual, they sometimes say something under pressure. I’m not making an excuse for him, but I want to see and hear more before I pass judgment. He also recently said that he would appoint judges who would reverse the pro-gay marriage SCOTUS ruling: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/01/31/trump-attacks-supreme-court-decision-legalizing-same-sex-marriage/

One more piece of evidence Trump is a NY leftist pretending to be conservative to run in Republican primary.

To the cultists though, it won’t matter.

Trump can do no wrong.

If Trump tomorrow declared to be a Muslim, the cultists would all follow suit and become Muslim.

It’s worse than Obama 2008, and we all laughed at that.

If Trump’s statement is “leftism” what is a candidate stuffing his pockets with gay boy activist cash while saying he doesn’t have a problem with same sex marriage decided at the state level? Is that Principled Conservatism (TM)?

When Cruz brought up “new York values”, he pretty much stated he was running for president of the Red States and every one else can go screw off

That is not how you bring a country together and fight off Muslim extremists

When Trump is the nominee, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and maybe even California could be in play, tons of electoral votes in these states

Because a certain group of the Cruz supporters know in their hearts that Donald Trump is evil incarnate and probably the Antichrist too, so of course everything he says confirms what they believe.

CRuz Review “twisted” words to smear Trump??? Wow...you’ve gotta be kidding!!

Here’s the video, if anyone even cares to listen to what Trump actually said.

CRuz Review has fallen beneath the level of NYSlimes.

Yup, he loves Larry Tribe and “gay rights”.

He will pack the court with Schumer approved activist liberal judges.

Cruz will appoint constitutional conservatives.

Wake up FR!!

***

If Cruz declared tomorrow that he was the second coming of Jesus, you’d be making pilgrimages to Texas to pray to him.

If Trump said that water was wet, you’d drown yourself in the bathtub because you know in your heart that he’s a liar about everything.

Isn’t it fun to whine?

So to win, it’s ok for Trump to say anything?

Like build a wall??

The man believes in nothing but what is good for Trump.

So what does Cruz suggest we do with gay people?

But the article is about Trump, why not deal with that instead of deflecting to Cruz? I thought FR was supposed to about discussion but I'm just not seeing it during this primary cycle.

No, I'm not for Cruz, yet, or Trump, yet. What I am is definitely against rubita, jebita, and the rest of still running. What I am looking for is some honest debate about Trump and Cruz instead of the flaming from both sides.

I know this might be hard for a constitutional illiterate like yourself to understand, but marriage has always been a state issue, not a federal one. So Ted's position on marriage, that it should be returned to the states, is the correct Constitutional position. If you want SSM banned at the federal level, you will need to amend the Constitution.

Now Ted has called for an amendment to restore marriage and the rights of the states to limit is to one man and one woman, and has already submitted such amendment to the Senate back in April of last year. But until such an amendment passes and is ratified, the correct solution under the Constitution as is now stands is for the issue to be handled by the states.

Nope.

If Cruz supported government run health care like Trump I would not support him. Ditto for touch back amnesty.

The fact Trump still has supporters after taking these positions, makes them cultists.

And why Trump himself laughs at you guys and can’t believe the groupie mentality, hence the 5th ave shooting comment.

If the gays want to finance a conservative anti gay rights candidate like Cruz, I am thrilled.

I wish every leftist would send Cruz $1,000 each!!!

Strong on borders. Soft on family values. Soft on abortion issues.

We need a strong leader that can convince people on the fence that conservatism makes sense. it works if leaders will ever actually apply it.

He'll say whatever he needs to say in order to close the sale.

But we've been told for months that he bravely spoke his mind without political correctness or fear of the consequences!

Now, suddenly, he speaks on the basis of political calculation, and will say whatever he needs to?

Then why on earth would I think he's being honest with ME? And other conservatives?

Trump’s friends are not exactly middle America.

He hangs with politicians including Hillary, movie stars, and people who buy his wife’s lovely designer jewelry.

If you want someone who will push the gay agenda, vote Trump.

Cruz believes in the constitution. He has said so and proven it by his actions.

Trump believes in Trump, but there is a new Trump every day.

You people cannot trust him and I hope you wake up in time.

That’s exactly right. And a landslide victory is what we need in order to flip the tables on the nation’s enemies, foreign and domestic.

Remember Bush v. Gore . . . the hanging chads? Yikes. Let’s take a WIN in NY, NJ, PA and maybe CA and many others!

Some of these people in the Republican Party could screw up a wet dream.
