Ted Cruz is hoping Rush Limbaugh can push him over the top in next Tuesday's New Hampshire Republican primary. Here's a spot that the senator from Texas is running on a Boston sports radio station, using the conservative yakker's words to brand Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, who holds a slight edge in the race for second place, as a pro-amnesty hypocrite:
Rush Limbaugh: "If you're looking for the Republican candidate who is the most steadfastly opposed to liberalism, whose agenda is oriented toward stopping it and thwarting it and defeating it, it's Ted Cruz."
Narrator: "Rush is right. It's Ted Cruz who's led our fights in Washington. To secure our border. To stop taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants. And it was Cruz who stood up for us against the Washington establishment. When the Gang of Eight proposed amnesty for 11 million illegal immigrants, it was wrong. Ted Cruz fought them. But what about Marco Rubio? When Rubio ran for Senate, he made this pledge:
Marco Rubio: "I will never support it, never have and never will support any effort to grant blanket legalization amnesty."
Rush Limbaugh: "That's what he said. It's not what he did. It was Marco Rubio that was a member of the Gang of Eight, and Ted Cruz that wasn't."
Narrator: Ted Cruz, the only one we can trust."

So you’re a copyright lawyer now?
Rush pretty much said the same thing about the RUde. Guess he’ll come out with a like ad.
Whoosh right over your head, you left yourself open chumlee, had to take the shot.
“So youâre a copyright lawyer now?”
I have to be a copyright lawyer to point out that Rush’s program is copyright?
There’s a reasoned argument for ya.
Just heard it in Atlanta too. Powerful.
Just a suggestion... While you are in the midst of making you laymen legal case here, one place to start your research might be on the topic of limitations and exceptions to copyright laws.
However, it might save you some time to just skip it and realize that these campaigns are run by professional staff that include actual lawyers. I suspect any copyright issues were vetted before this ad was produced.
Christie calling Rubio bubble boy, gaggler (look up meaning of gaggler in Urban Dictionary)
Rush calling Rubio “full-throated” conservative
Subliminal programming?
Telling us without telling us?
Yes! That’s why I’m curious why ANYONE would post or put stock in what Jimmah says.
I’ve seen several CRuzer’s post that Jimmah BS, over and over.
Who cares what the old, deranged man says? He’s not to be listened to. Evidently, though, some here are : =/
I didn’t “make a laymen [sic] legal case here,” I simply said:
Does Cruz even have the legal right to use these clips without Limbaughâs permission - or has Limbaugh GIVEN him permission?
That’s called a “question.” Clearly you don’t know the answer. Anyone else? Has Rush commented on this? I would think he would frown on the use of audio clips from his show being used in a political ad, since he’s made it a point that he’s not going to endorse anyone during the primaries.
Under the Fair Use Doctrine, as long as the clips don’ t exceed a certain length, he doesn’t need permission to use them.
Don’t look now, but you’re making a case...
Not a sound one... but...
Thanks for the clarification. The use of Rush’s comments are certainly meant to suggest that Rush has endorsed Cruz, which clearly isn’t the case.
Should be interesting to see if Rush addresses this Monday.
Way to go... You just ruined a fledgling career as a newly minted legal research assistance or law clerk.
What are you trying to say, TBBT?
Are you saying it’s NOT legal to use the clips under fair use?
No different than you having “Cruz for our country”.
If your looking for a fight, I’ll be your Huckleberry.
~~Go Trump Go~~~~Go Trump Go~~~~Go Trump Go~~
I heard the whole thing on the radio.
He praised Cruz, then Carson, the Rubio, then Trump in that order.
Said Cruz was a true disciple of Reagan, Carson close, Rubio OK and Trump a conservative-leaning populist.
I wasn’t talking about your tag line but your comments.
It doesn’t matter. It’s the same stupid non-issue.
If you continue to have a problem with me posting the words “~~Go Trump Go~~” then you go right ahead and complain to the owner of this site.
I am for Trump, will continue to be for Trump and I really don’t care about your feelings or what YOU don’t care to look at.
I respect that you have been on FR from the very beginning, I truly do, but that respect will only go so far. I am one guy that you will not be able to insult or intimidate to be quiet about my choice of candidates.
Cheers....
