Yes! They were big in the 60s. Married then divorced.
She wrote “Got Up This Morning, You WEre ON My Mind.”
He wrote tons of great songs, “Someday Soon,” “Four Strong Winds.”
Ricky Nelson, was really ahead of the curve. Very tragic when he died.
Great, they corrected the headline spelling for me. Thank you!!!! Still misspelled in the photo I captioned. lol
I had to Google for the answers...
“Heat of the Summer” - I would have never had gotten that one.
“Baby You’ve Been On My Mind” - I am a BIG fan of the songwriter but missed this one. In my Google search, I discovered Linda Ronstadt did a cover.
I absolutely loved Linda from her beginning roots when she recorded a song written by a “Monkey” whose mother invented “Liquid Paper”. But when she teamed up with Paul McCartney’s ex-girlfriend’s brother, she became a major star.
Linda R. Questions:
1. Which Monkey wrote Linda’s first hit?
2. Who was Linda’s producer with the McCartney connection (and was a part of a British Duo that had some hits themselves including a song written by Del Shannon?
Good grief...I had waaay too much coffee this morning...
I knew the Ricky Nelson answer and was pretty sure Sylvia & her husband were Canadians. I cannot tell you why or how that little factoid came into my head. I couldn’t think of any of their songs! LOLOLOL.
