Trump is brilliant. He went day after day about Cruz and Iowa until the national news picked it up tonight and now he can play nice while the truth gets out to all the american voters. He is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I am really surprised that some here are against him.
We’re not against Trump in general; we’re only against the notion that he would make a good President. He should stick with licensing his name, like Coco Chanel or Ralph Lauren.
Ego, Naps.
Some of the show ponies here kick and bite so much they'd never be allowed into the arena.
Surprised that some conservatives are against Trump?? Well, let's see, other than the fact that he's not conservative, he doesn't know anything, he's lazy, he doesn't study up, he can't debate the issues, he's an egomaniac, he's immature, he's unreliable, he would go down to overwhelming defeat and hand the White House and probably Congress over to the socialists, and he's the most unliked candidate in the history of unliking--yeah, other than that, what's not to like?
You may be on to something there. Most voters will at most hear / see what makes the major news shows. The Donald can if need be retreat slightly, blaming the Tweets about Carson on “Cruz staffers”, and noting that Cruz did apologize to Carson. Meanwhile, he’s planted doubts about Cruz in some of the Pub voters who would be active in the next couple primaries, and furthered his own narrative about not being a typical politician.
The downside, it seems to me, is that the whole dustup lessens the chance of a Trump / Cruz ticket.
