About a week ago Trump said he’d support Cruz if he were determined “eligible.”

Trump’s full-scale attacks on Cruz cost him big in Iowa and will continue to cost him. Trum would be well advised to take the opposite tack:

Sen. Cruz has many ideas with which I agree. He is a good man, a solid conservative and an uncompromising patriot. I believe, however, that I am far more electable in the general election. Trump should focus his attacks on Hillary and Sanders and THEIR ideas. He should stop the profanity-—it’s a yuge turn-off.

Trump’s attacks did not cost him Iowa. If you spot Cruz 8 points based on his organization. The Des Moines Register Poll had Cruz ahead +3 in Mid January. Trump would have lost in a double digit blow out because of his poor organization if he didn’t attack. Trump’s attacks were effective. He should have won Iowa. He had the support clearly in all the polls. His problem was he cheaped out on organization to get his supporters to caucus.
