In a striking reversal of rhetoric, Donald Trump would not rule out Ted Cruz as his hypothetical vice-presidential pick.
"Well, I don"t know. Look, I have nothing against him. It was sort of a sad thing that happened, but I'"ve always liked him," Trump told Hugh Hewitt on his radio show Thursday, after weeks of trashing his primary rival as nasty, hypocritical and disliked.
Trump added that he has "always gotten along well" with Cruz, but that "I'm so much now focused on New Hampshire."

Sounds like Trump has met his match. He personally attacked one candidate after another and took them out of contention. Cruz hit back hard and substantively and Trump found himself going down.
Now he looks like he has schizophrenia.
“How can he select Cruz and his vice president when he doesnât believe he is constitutionally eligible to be president?”
That’s easy... Make it contingent on the outcome of the court battle that would surely come from the Dem side.
Looks like Donald forgot to tell Ellie Mae Palin the new talking points.
Are you still polling 3 points below JEB?
Wasn’t the Canal Zone US territory at the when McCain was born?
“I have nothing against him.”
Wut?
Trump will say anything. It's amazing how anyone can take anything he says seriously.
Trump speak with forked tongue.
It’s ludicrous.
I'm sure they won't. A senate resolution is meaningless, and a declaratory judgement requires a lawsuit with a plaintiff and a defendant. You need someone with standing to sue.
Besides there is no way Cruz would accept the offer. There's no upside for him.
Trump believes what the moment demands.
In March -> Cruz not eligible
Summer, early Fall -> Cruz eligible
December, January -> Cruz not eligible
February -> Cruz eligible (Some people say Trump didn't see his shadow, so Cruz is eligible for six more weeks)
May -> Who knows?! Place you bets now!
I just wish the Donald would STFU. Can you imagine four years of listening to that guys mouth?
We really never have a good group that you want to hear for four years. I really am not interested in hearing a sermon from Cruz every time he opens his mouth either. I think we all lose anyway when it comes to speaking........I was sick of George W. Bill Clinton.....Obama......Bush i.....Reagan I was pretty young so I never got sick of him......and probably wouldn’t have since he was a great speaker. We really haven’t had a good speaker since Reagan and I don’t see that changing this round.
You make me chuckle.
But Trump has said he is eligible for months at a time.
Trump believes what the moment demands
You nailed it !!!
Political opportunism.
And I hope that Senator Cruz does not rule out DT as his VP candidate choice.
Cruz/Trump:
I liken it to Eisenhower/Nixon:
Ike: “Yes, Dick Nixon is an SoB but he is OUR SoB!”
Cruz the Constitutional scholar/Trump the SoB to kick butt and not bother to take any names.
Yes and McCain didn’t have to go to the Senate, but he heard a little questioning and thought it best to get Senate approval.....it was pretty easy for him and totally unnecessary but it shut everyone up.
“Looks like Donald got the message that going scorched earth on Cruz when he poses no threat is counterproductive.”
I think Donald got the message that without Conservatives he ain’t winning the White House. Trump is supposed to go against the establishment. That means Rubio is his target, not Cruz especially when Cruz has no shot at winning NH.
