In a striking reversal of rhetoric, Donald Trump would not rule out Ted Cruz as his hypothetical vice-presidential pick.
"Well, I don"t know. Look, I have nothing against him. It was sort of a sad thing that happened, but I'"ve always liked him," Trump told Hugh Hewitt on his radio show Thursday, after weeks of trashing his primary rival as nasty, hypocritical and disliked.
Trump added that he has "always gotten along well" with Cruz, but that "I'm so much now focused on New Hampshire."

You better buy some ear plugs.
I like Trump.
Were you born naturally?
How much would you like to donate to help me go to Washington, DC, and fight the liberal big-government agenda?
That would never work ... Trump is for stopping illegal immigration and Rubio has based his political career on amnesty
What happened to your boy Walker?
I thought you told us he was going to be the next POTUS?
What happened Nick?
Kind of like Cruz and his heavy Bible-thumping in Iowa and not much mention of his Bible while campaigning of NH.
In fact, when has he mentioned the Bible while in NH...?
Not Rubio, we would be under Sharia law then!
Surprised that some conservatives are against Trump?? Well, let's see, other than the fact that he's not conservative, he doesn't know anything, he's lazy, he doesn't study up, he can't debate the issues, he's an egomaniac, he's immature, he's unreliable, he would go down to overwhelming defeat and hand the White House and probably Congress over to the socialists, and he's the most unliked candidate in the history of unliking--yeah, other than that, what's not to like?
It would be shrewd of Trump to pick Cruz as a VP. It would insulate him from impeachment.
During Watergate, the establishment got rid of Agnew before they impeached Nixon. They disliked Agnew more than Nixon.
It would also be fun to see Cruz as President of the Senate! :) (I would prefer to see him as President, but you enjoy what you can.)
It has never been Trump supporters claiming he is ineligible (or Trump) what they all are saying is that he will face COURT CHALLENGES by the Democratmedia should he be nominated.
That is not only a certainty but a FACT already happening.
I stated long before Trump commented that neither Cruz nor Rubio are eligible (nor was Hussein) because the definition of Natural Born Citizen required BOTH parents be citizens at the time of a child’s birth. Outside of relocation because of National service they also had to be born inside the US. (McCain’s case, he was born in Panama as his father was stationed there.)
Cruz was born in Canada because of his father’s job and his mother’s citizenship is not sufficient to make him a NBC. Rubio is a anchor baby with neither parent citizens at time of birth.
There are three categories of citizens.
Naturalized Citizens (citizens by law born elsewhere) ineligible.
Native born citizens (citizens born here to non-citizens but here legally ineligible
Natural Born Citizens (child of two citizens not abroad for private reasons)
While the Treason Media ignored Hussein’s ineligibility it will NOT wrt Cruz/Rubio and there will be a non-stop WAR against them. That is inarguable.
I’m looking forward to what Cruz has to say on this tomorrow.
But but cruz is practically jeebus himself!!
Hey, Liked Walker too!
Lets not beat ourselves up.
Look, it’s not my fault that your guy Trump is a dirty Commie.
Vote for a REAL conservative - vote for ME.
I agree.
He sure thinks he is......sadly he missed the part of integrity, morals, and so many others.
I was assembled in an android plant in Kansas City.
Does that count?
Donald declared in early December that he really liked Ted Cruz but was concerned about his poll numbers (they were about 5% at the time). And then he remarked that if Ted’s poll numbers ever approached his, that people shouldn’t be surprised that “I will have to declare war on him Ok?”.
The entire slugfest in Iowa was brought on by Ted’s strong polling. It was for show.
But I did not enjoy the show because it was lame. Birther attack was lame. Maniac in the Senate was lame. Inability to get along with scumbags like McConnell was lame.
Donald’s attacks on Ted were predictable but the substance of those attacks was D-rated. I don’t know who he had advising him on the angle of attack against Cruz, but that person is a moron. Lawrence Tribe? Disgusting!
Donald would have elevated himself if he simply distinguished how throughout his career he has been able to bring people together to get things done and that Ted, while a fine conservative and brilliant YOUNG man (Ted is only 44), hasn’t enough background at the negotiating table or a seasoned poker face to take on the world’s demons.
He could have also pointed out that trusting people is dangerous and foolish as Ted trusted McConnell. Like Reagan, one must not trust alone, one must “trust but verify”.
Finally, for the Iowa audience, he could have bonded the evangelical to him by saying that although he hasn’t always walked every step in life as pleasing to God, that he sought to always make up for it by making things better, by leaving friends and loved ones well-cared for, abandoning no one, bringing value to all his associates, that although not perfect he can be relied on for delivering on his promises and will only consider reneging if the other side shows bad faith.
For Iowa I will give Ted Cruz a C+ for a good message but an unethical organization and for Donald Trump a D for poor substance.
I never want to see Iowa 2016 again. If Iowa 2016 were a movie, I would walk out of the theatre and tell everyone I know and came in contact with to stay away and not waste their money.
In Illinois you can be assured that board in composed of hacks who know nothing. It’s ruling has no bearing outside the state and maybe not even there.
Sounds bipolar to me
