Given the fact that in the past 2 decades, Republicans have won more victories in Congress and the Senate, I'd say it's a purple state.

Without these kinds of "Republicans", we wouldn't have a Senate or a Congressional majority. And we wouldn't have a hope of winning the presidency. Like it or not, the Republican party is a coalition, and diehard right-wingers like us are just the biggest part of the coalition. They can't win without us, but we can't win without them either.
